About the role
You’ll design and ship backend services that are boring in production (the best kind): predictable, scalable, and secure — with thoughtful trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement APIs and service boundaries with clear contracts.
- Build resilient systems (timeouts/retries/circuit-breakers where needed).
- Design data models for queryability and operational simplicity.
- Instrument systems with meaningful logs/metrics/traces.
- Collaborate with front-end and product to deliver end-to-end outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience building production backend services (Node/.NET/Go/etc.).
- Strong fundamentals in API design and reliability patterns.
- Comfort with data modeling and practical performance tuning.
- Security awareness (authn/authz, validation, auditing).
Nice to have
- Event-driven systems and queues/streams experience.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS patterns.
- Experience with RAG/evals pipelines (optional).
